90年代、渋谷系を語る上で無視出来ない伝説のレーベル「CONFUSION」(by PONY CANYON)からのリリースで話題となった「Loco-Holidays
ソングライティングのみならず、ベース、ギター、オルガン、シンセサイザー、プログラミングなど全てをこなすマルチプレイヤー。J-WAVE、TOKYO FMをはじめ多くの大手放送メディアのジングル、CMソング、BGMなどを制作。また海外への楽曲提供も積極的に展開している。
浮遊感あるボーカル、オリエンタルな雰囲気とスペーシーな世界観が融合した独自のドリーム・ポップ・ワールド。都会の喧噪を離れ移住した故郷、山梨から世界へ。そのhidekaサウンドを自由に、そしてのびのびと発信していくソロプロジェクトを開始。
2008年7月に日本、インドネシア、フィリピン、マレーシア、韓国、中国、香港の7ヶ国のアーティストが参加し世界へ向け発売されたアジアン・シューゲイズ・コンピレーションCD「Half Dreaming」に参加。2009年1月にアメリカのシューゲイズレーベル「Series Two Records」のコンピレーションCD「Series Two Compilation vol.23」にも楽曲提供している。
2009年2月、..:: LCP RECORDS ::..より待望の1stアルバム「hideka」を世界配信開始。2009年夏、hideka bandを結成。ライブ活動も開始。

Female vocalist Hideka originally sang and played bass with Loco-Holidays -- a highly influential band signed to legendary label of the 90s Shibuya scene, Confusion (by Pony Canyon). Subsequently performing solo under the name Ruby Ruby Star, she focused not only on song writing, but on applying her diverse talents in playing instruments such as bass, guitar, organ, and synth, and also in programming. Hideka has written and performed jingles and background music for J-WAVE and other major Japanese broadcasters, while also proactively looking to supply her music overseas.
In Hideka's unique "dream pop world", her floating, wafting voice is perfectly married with spacy, oriental atmospheres. Leaving behind the hustle and bustle of the city and returning to her home turf in Yamanashi, she now embarks upon a new solo project to freely deliver that Hideka sound to listeners all over the world.
In July 2008, Hideka contributed a song to HALF DREAMING: Asian Shoegaze Compilation -- a world-wide release featuring artists from Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Korea, China, and Hong Kong. And we now welcome her to LCP Records for the global release of her much-anticipated new album.
